Here’s what blows my mind about this statement - not only is he saying, “We are making gay marriage legal because it’s the right thing to do,” he is also saying, “So, c’mon, gays - give Iowa a try.” It’s an ad to the gays to move to his state. That is unbelievably awesome. Can you imagine if Iowa suddenly became the gayest state in the union? I always knew Iowa was one hell of a good egg. I have, for reasons unknown even to myself, been trying for a good year to get my mother to move there. Is it because I’d like a midwestern home to visit? Is it because I’m secretly gay? Who knows? Why question it? IOWA.
